Not a whole lot of stuff here yet - I have small plans for this web site - for now I am just updating information about the next known situations and some other crap...

The next beer situation is Saturday April 26th, 3PM, at the Great Valley Trading post - it is a blind tasting event and there is 8 of us participating, plus a couple of drivers and such. We havent set all the categories and specifics yet, we will when we get closer, there is no guarantee that they will have all of them available, since having 240 beers on the menu is a bit of a challenge trying to keep the right stuff stocked without getting old - the beertender is very knowledged and will be very helpful in finding suitable replacements for certain kinds that may not be available.

Need to come up with more content... oh well.. Cheers!

Why Beer?

Well, just like wine, it is in its pure form a very simple, old and delicious tasting beverage, made from roasted malts (preferably barley), hops, yeast and water. When you get a good beer made according to the purity laws, you can taste the different components and "feel" what the brewer was trying to express - the type of malt used, how roasted or burnt it is, the type and amount of hops added - if the beer is a microbrew that has not been pasteurized, this is to me the best taste in this world.

Why Sausage?

Duh, it goes good with beer! Bratwurst is THE sausage that belongs to beer, in beer, with beer, after beer, before beer, etc.
